Dear International Students,
 
The Fall Semester 2016 is about to begin, and we would like to use this opportunity to inform you about events and activities organized for the international community of the College of Engineering (CoE) here at Seoul National University (SNU). We extend a special welcome to the international members joining us this semester. We are very happy to have you here, contributing to a growing international community on our campus and bringing in valuable expertise and ideas from abroad.

As usual, we start the semester with the student orientation and pizza sharing party this coming Friday, September 2nd in building 39. The orientation begins at 16:00 and targets foremost students who are new at the College of Engineering. All international students are invited for the Pizza Party starting at 16:40, but are also welcome for the orientation.  In order to order enough food please indicate your attendance by filling out the RSVP on http://csap.snu.ac.kr/~bernhard/coeemgr/rsvp.php?id=4
 
We are happy to be able to provide free Korean language classes for beginner and intermediate levels again this semester. The classes start in the fourth week of September; more information will be provided by email in the next few days.

1. International Student Orientation &Sharing Party (only for Engineering Students)<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

▶ Date & Time: September 2nd, 16:00 - 17:30
▶ Program:
    16:00 ~ 16:40   Introduction of CoE, SNU and the Orientation
    16:40 ~ 17:30   Pizza Party (vegetarian pizza provided)

2. Korean Language Classes

▶ Course Levels: Level 1 (for beginners starting with the Korean alphabet) and Level 2 (intermediate)
▶ Course Duration: twice a week for two hours, 10 weeks
▶ Sign-up Fee: KRW100,000 (first class, 100% refundedif you attend over 80% of the classes)
▶ Application deadline: September 26, 2016
