Dr. Kyung A. Kang at the Chemical Engineering Department at the University Louisville is looking for hardworking, creative and ambitious Ph.D. candidates/graduates.  The group has an immediate opening for a post-doctoral fellow position for a person with expertise in bio-nanotechnology, more specifically producing nanometal particle, understanding about the plasmon field, nanoparticle surface modification with bio-polymers and/or biomolecules, etc.  The resulting particles are for disease diagnosis, molecular imaging contrast agent, and drug deliveries.   Ph.D. graduates with a background with chemistry and/or chemical engineering with experimental techniques used in nanotechnology, such as SEM, TEM, AFM, XPS, FTIR will be appropriate for the position.  Biomedical sciences background will also be helpful but not required.

The duration of the position is until June 2011 but it may be extended depending upon the funding status.  Interested candidates should contact Dr. Kyung A. Kang.
